Think About it Colorado

Think About It Colorado is a public awareness campaign designed to spark a statewide conversation about patient safety and to drive reform in this critical area.

We’re a coalition of dedicated and knowledgeable leaders from the patient advocacy, health care and business communities.  We’re asking Coloradans to “Imagine a Safer and Healthier Colorado” because that’s the first step towards making it a reality.

Our Mission

To promote statewide awareness of patient safety concerns and opportunities and to engage consumers and providers in fostering a culture of patient safety.

Our Vision

The Think About it Colorado campaign will raise awareness about the ongoing initiatives, needs and opportunities to improve patient safety and create the will to make it happen.

Our Statement of Values

The Campaign is working towards an improved system that:

• Holds health professionals and health care facilities accountable for the quality of the care they provide.
• Assists injured patients and their families compassionately and fairly.
• Improves safety by ensuring that health professionals and health care facilities learn from problems that occur in the course of health care.
• Directs resources efficiently to provide appropriate access.
• Provides information to patients and their families to become active participants in their own health care. 

Our campaign was initially funded by COPIC, a leading partner, advocate and catalyst for better medicine, working collaboratively with key stakeholders and the broader health care community to enhance medicine, enhance lives, and enhance communities.

We are currently seeking funding from other organizations who share our mission.
