The mission of Citizens for Patient Safety is "to educate ourselves and future generations to take action to protect our health and safety from medical errors." The organization collaborates with statewide and national patient safety organizations to develop patient safety manuals, educate consumers on how to navigate the health care system, and support patients (including those affected by adverse outcomes) in their advocacy efforts.
