Rigorous new approaches must be developed to hold health care professionals and health care facilities accountable for the care they provide. We also need to empower patients to take more responsibility for ensuring that they receive quality care. We will partner with organizations working to educate health care consumers about how to advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
